Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Manager for Hardware Sustaining Engineering to lead a 4–6 person team onsite. You will drive failure analyses, RCCAs, quality improvements and coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing and ODM teams to ensure production hardware reliability.

The role requires strong communication with executives and customers and a focus on career growth for team members across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years leading and managing a hardware engineering team.
• Experience in high-speed digital hardware design, test and debug.
• Expertise in hardware quality, RCCA, and root-cause/corrective action.
• Ability to interact with cross-functional teams across geographies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with executives and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of 4 - 6 hardware sustaining engineers, coaching for high performance and career growth.
• Manage multiple concurrent failure analysis and design change projects, allocate resources, and drive to closure on schedule.
• Engage with customers and support teams to review and resolve escalations related to HW networking hardware.
• Author RCCA and other hardware quality reports; present to customers and stakeholders.
• Drive proactive quality improvements in new products and NPI processes via closed-loop actions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Component Engineering, Manufacturing, CM and ODM to address HW quality issues and production reliability.
• Track team performance through regular engagement and OKRs.
