Job summary

DNV is seeking a Head of Department (VP) for Growth, Strategy & Market Development in Energy Management. Lead a national, multidisciplinary team to win new business, craft innovative client solutions, and strengthen pricing, quality, and operations.

Hybrid work across multiple US offices with a focus on shaping differentiated offerings and sustainable growth. You will connect market insights with client needs, drive priority pursuits, and guide investments in new solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred; 10+ years in growth strategy within utilities, energy services, consulting, or related markets.
• Significant demand-side management experience with knowledge of energy markets, utility business models, policy, regulation, and technology.
• Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, build alignment across a matrixed organization, and develop client/industry relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; willingness to travel domestically ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Grow the business by developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts.
• Lead priority proposals by shaping competitive positioning, client-centered solutions, and pricing.
• Develop sales and market strategies by translating customer, market, regulatory, technology trends into action.
• Advance program design, solutions, and innovation through cross-functional collaboration.
• Foster business transformation and capability development across the service area.
