Job summary

Carmichael Lynch in Philadelphia is seeking a Group Planning Director to lead the agency and this account, setting the strategy by partnering closely with account and creative leadership and by developing a deep and positive client relationship.

This person will directly manage and lead a team of 4-5 planners on the account and ensure the team develops and acts on actionable consumer insights for clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on psychology, sociology, anthropology, advertising, or related field or strong relevant experience.
• 10+ years of planning or related business experience at a creative agency or working on creative brands.
• Proven ability to work in partnership with senior clients and creative teams.
• Significant qualitative and quantitative research experience with the ability to translate insights into action.
• Expert knowledge of presentation software (Keynote & PowerPoint) and Word; experience with MRI data.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership by developing thoughtful recommendations and partnering with senior clients and internal teams.
• Lead cross-functional strategy and idea generation for internal and client teams.
• Assess diverse sources of client, market and consumer information and translate into strategic direction.
• Develop and lead compelling client presentations and ensure a high-quality strategic vision.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to new business opportunities with strategic direction.
• Guide brief development and ensure briefs are clear, inspiring, and actionable.
