Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a senior technical leader to guide a multidisciplinary team across aerospace disciplines within Blue National Security's Advanced Systems division. You will set the team vision, drive roadmaps, and enable cohesive, executable space system solutions.

Strong mentorship and strategic execution are essential for delivering complex programs. Required are 7+ years in aerospace/defense with systems engineering expertise, and a track record of leading multi-domain projects; TS//SCI

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
7+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or related high-tech industry.
3+ years of technical leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated success leading complex technical projects involving multiple engineering domains.
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
Experience with aerospace systems, space architectures, or advanced technology development.
Proven ability to translate strategic vision into tactical execution plans.
Track record of delivering results in highly technical environments.
Active TS//SCI clearance strongly preferred, but not required.
Preferred: master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
Experience in two or more technical domains, including mission systems, electrical systems, or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of technical professionals across multiple engineering disciplines.
Establish team vision, roadmap, and operational structure to deliver strategic objectives.
Drive technical integration across specialties to ensure cohesive solutions meeting program needs.
Collaborate with program leadership to define technical priorities and resource allocation.
Facilitate cross-functional partnerships with other Blue Origin organizations.
Identify and mitigate technical risks across multiple domains.
Champion innovation while maintaining practical, implementable solutions.
Establish and maintain technical standards and best practices across disciplines.
Develop metrics and reporting structures to track team performance and project progress.
Work within Blue National Security's Advanced Systems organization on future space systems, architectures, and capabilities.
