Job summary

Lennar, a leading U.S. homebuilder, seeks a VP of Forward Planning in California to lead entitlement, development, and site planning activities. You will coordinate with land acquisition, consultants, and internal teams to secure approvals and manage budgets.

The role oversees field managers and project teams, guiding design, approvals, and compliance while aligning purchasing and development budgets with company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance or similar.
• 5–7 years of related experience in home building or land development.
• Advanced PC skills and ability to read development plans.

Responsibilities

• Due diligence for land acquisitions including environmental issues and site feasibility.
• Create site plans, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
• Pursue governmental approvals (General Plan Amendments, zoning, etc.).
• Coordinate consultants and internal teams for entitlements and development.
• Oversee forward planning, project management, and budgets.
