Acron Aviation in Sanford, FL is seeking a Head of Flight Safety- FAA to lead the US Flight Academy safety management system and the ASAP program, reporting to the Global Head of Safety and Compliance. You will implement SMS across Sanford and Jacksonville flight academies, act as safety liaison to FAA, NTSB, UKCAA, and EASA, supervise the safety department, and lead investigations into major incidents.

Qualifications

• Pilot license holder (civilian or military) is required.
• Formal safety management system training/qualifications.
• 2+ years in aviation safety/compliance monitoring role.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years related experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; in lieu of degree, 13+ years of related experience.

Responsabilités

• Implement the safety management system across Sanford and Jacksonville flight academies.
• Serve as primary aviation safety focal to FAA, NTSB, UKCAA, EASA as required.
• Lead investigator for major incidents, accidents and events.
• Advise Academy Director and senior leadership on safety matters.
• Develop hazard identification, risk analysis and risk management across flight and ground activities.
• Coordinate with training delivery to remediate risks and prevent escalation.
