Via is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee Montgomery Public Transit operations. The role includes supervising drivers, training staff, resolving rider issues, and ensuring safety compliance. CDL and Passenger Endorsement with a clean record are required.

The position is full-time, 40–45 hours weekly, based in Montgomery, AL, with evenings and weekends possible. Occasional extended hours may be needed to support operations.

Competenze

• Minimum 3+ years in transportation services or comparable industry with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications in transportation, logistics, or related field preferred.

Mansioni

• Conduct regular performance evaluations of drivers and coach to improve service quality.
• Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing driver training.
• Handle customer service issues, resolve complaints and promote passenger satisfaction.
• Prioritize operational issues as the real-time point of contact and implement creative solutions.
• Go to the scene of accidents and incidents to manage processes and protocols.
• Collaborate with a broad interdisciplinary team to scale operations and tools.
• Safely operate lift-equipped vehicles for elderly and disabled riders.
• Learn Via operations and safety procedures.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts.
