Job summary

PleasantonNorth is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department. The role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local standards while maintaining a safe, comfortable facility.

The position requires supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with departments, and implementing policies, MSDS compliance, and safety programs as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance/plant-related position.
• Knowledgeable about boilers, compressors, generators and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed according to current standards, codes and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs, and activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities).
• Direct maintenance department operations and supervise safety and fire prevention programs.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of hazardous chemicals and MSDS compliance.
• Participate in surveys and prepare plans of correction for deficiencies.
• Budget preparation and cost reporting for the Maintenance Department.
• Maintain expenditure records and conduct weekly inspections of maintenance functions.
