Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls, audit, accounting, or finance experience.
• CPA or equivalent professional designation preferred
• Demonstrated experience in external financial reporting and technical accounting on complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions

Responsibilities

• Leads the team responsible for the preparation and review of Nuveen’s quarterly and annual audited financial statements.
• Coordinates with external auditors, legal, tax, and other stakeholders to facilitate audits and reporting.
• Provides authoritative guidance on accounting implications of complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions.
• Documents conclusions in formal accounting memos and communicates findings to leadership.
• Monitors impact of new accounting standards and regulatory developments and advises senior leadership.
