Beast Industries is seeking a Director of External Reporting & Technical Accounting to own the preparation of external financial statements and disclosures, leading a high‑caliber in‑house team and coordinating with external auditors. The role requires deep US GAAP expertise, SEC reporting knowledge, and a hands‑on leadership style in a fast‑growth environment.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will own technical accounting positions, build a compliant reporting calendar, and mentor

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive external reporting and technical accounting experience.
• CPA required and strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with SEC reporting requirements (S-X and S-K) and public company readiness.
• Experience leading a multi‑unit organization and developing a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in technical memos.

Responsibilities

• Own external financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures with a recurring filing cadence.
• Lead technical accounting positions across the group (ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 805).
• Research and document complex transactions in auditable memos.
• Maintain external reporting calendar and disclosure controls.
• Monitor adoption of new accounting standards and update policy library.
• Direct external co-source workstreams and transition capabilities in-house.
• Serve as technical liaison with external auditors and audit committee.
• Mentor and develop the accounting and reporting team.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and equity administration on inputs and KPIs.
