Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to oversee internal and external financial reporting, IFRS and US GAAP compliance, and employee benefit plan accounting. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Masters in Business Administration or CPA license is a plus.
• 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Demonstrated experience managing external financial reporting processes in a multi-entity environment under both US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and oversight to the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all activities.
• Coordinate with external actuaries to obtain annual actuarial valuations, review key assumptions, and ensure proper reflection of valuation results in the financial statements.
• Communicate with plan asset managers to obtain year-end plan asset information and ensure proper classification and disclosure of plan assets.
