Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering seeks a Department Manager to lead Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte metro area. This senior role oversees technical and operational performance, staff development, and client service while partnering with the Charlotte Branch Manager to grow the practice.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, staffing, and risk, as well as driving proposals, contracts, and client relationships in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related technical discipline required; advanced degree or specialized environmental training preferred.
• Must meet the definition of an Environmental Professional per 40 CFR 312.10.
• Professional registration as a PE or PG in North Carolina strongly preferred; other environmental certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead BLE’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services Department in the Charlotte area.
• Oversee project delivery, staffing, budgets, and client service.
• Develop and mentor staff; manage contracts and financial performance.
• Build trusted client relationships and contribute to proposals and pursuits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental standards and regulations.
• Guide QA/QC and review technical deliverables.
