Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a Department Manager for Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte area. Lead the department's technical delivery, client service, and growth while partnering with the Charlotte Branch Manager and BLE leadership.

This senior role emphasizes staff development, budget management, and strategic project execution in environmental consulting, with opportunities for ownership and leadership progression within BLE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
• Professional registration as a PE or PG in North Carolina preferred.
• Other environmental certifications (RSM, REM, CHMM) encouraged.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting.
• Experience managing Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and regulatory-closure projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental due diligence, site investigation, remediation and regulatory-closure projects.
• Lead QA/QC, review proposals, work plans, reports and regulatory submittals.
• Develop departmental workflows, standards, and profitability measures.
• Manage budgets, staffing, forecasts, and project schedules.
• Foster trusted client relationships and support proposals and pursuits.
