Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Sr. Director of Communications to define and advance an AI-forward enterprise technology communications strategy. You will partner with the CDTO, guide executive messaging, and lead global DD&T storytelling to strengthen understanding of digital transformation and patient impact.

You will shape the enterprise technology narrative, drive employee engagement, and elevate Takeda's technology leadership with external visibility across healthcare, biopharma, and AI communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field.
• 15 years of communications or technology communications experience, ideally in healthcare tech.
• Experience shaping enterprise technology, digital transformation, AI, data, cybersecurity messaging.
• Strong experience counseling and influencing senior executives including CDTO and leadership teams.
• Proven ability to lead geographically distributed teams and build organizational capability.
• Deep understanding of enterprise technology trends and translating them into clear narratives.
• Experience leading media relations and thought leadership in healthcare, biopharma, tech and AI.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Takeda's enterprise technology and DD&T narratives for consistency across channels.
• Lead executive communications for the CDTO, including employee engagement and external visibility.
• Counsel leaders on messaging, stakeholder perceptions and reputation management.
• Partner with DD&T leaders to align internal/external comms with business priorities and Takeda brand.
• Own external communications strategy and build relationships with healthcare and AI media.
• Drive employee engagement storytelling within the DD&T organization across locations.
• Develop and lead the Enterprise Technology Communications team for measurable impact.
