Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Director, AI Communications to shape how AI is communicated across the company and to external audiences. You will partner with BI&T and communications teams to translate AI strategy into clear, compelling narratives.

The role requires extensive corporate communications experience, leadership with executive visibility, and a track record of developing enterprise narratives and high-impact executive content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications or executive communications.
• At least 4+ years of senior leadership experience at the executive/C-suite level.

Responsibilities

• Shape and activate BMS’s enterprise AI narrative aligned with business, science and technology priorities.
• Translate AI strategy into compelling communications for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with BI&T and enterprise teams to ensure consistent AI messaging.
• Develop stories and proof points demonstrating AI impact for patients and stakeholders.
• Identify partnerships, platforms and forums to elevate BMS’s AI story.
• Partner with Media Relations to craft external AI messaging and context.
• Equip leadership with messaging and proof points for AI strategy progress.
• Create accessible, engaging content on complex AI topics for diverse audiences.
• Monitor AI landscape and manage reputation considerations for BMS.
• Establish core AI messaging and resources for enterprise use.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in communications/Journalism/Public Relations/English

Advanced degree (MBA, master’s in communications)
