Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks an experienced leader to manage a team of Senior Application Development Engineers responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex enterprise software solutions. You will partner with data modelers, architects, BAs, data stewards and SMEs to deliver end-to-end capabilities across the enterprise.

You will oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk mitigation, and vendor performance, while recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating staff.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience.
Experience leading large-scale application development projects.
Knowledge of Agile software development.
Hands-on background with databases and data governance.
Healthcare payer/provider operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee a team of Senior Application Development Engineers on large-scale projects.
Lead scope, schedule, and budget decisions and monitor progress.
Make decisions based on progress and outcomes.
Establish training and career development plans for developers.
Oversee 3rd-party development teams and vendor performance.
Define risk identification and mitigation processes.
Ensure security and change-management policies are followed with Security/SRE.
Lead design/development of proof-of-concept environments.
Manage hiring, training, performance reviews, and coaching.
Communicate departmental objectives and motivate the team.
Ensure adherence to quality and timeline objectives.
