Job summary

Corning Incorporated in North Carolina is seeking an Engineering Leader to oversee the Trivium campus teams, driving safety, quality, asset effectiveness, cost, inventory, service, and growth targets.

You will coordinate with section supervisors to ensure consistent engineering approaches, champion process and equipment changes, and partner with Operations, IT, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver plant-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering (any of the listed disciplines) is required.
• 6+ years of supervisory experience at section supervisor level or higher in Operations or Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience and accountability for developing and driving MBOs and manufacturing metrics; cost accounting understanding.
• 3+ years of project management or documented project leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of Six Sigma and Performance Excellence Principles.
• Training certification and experience in environmental stewardship, safety, and health.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned engineering teams to achieve safety, quality, asset effectiveness, cost, inventory, service, and growth targets.
• Coordinates with section supervisors to ensure consistent engineering approaches and staffing across buildings.
• Champions approval of process/equipment changes and experimental plans, including new product trials and changes ensuring standards are met.
• Provides leadership to Supervisors, Technicians, and Engineers; manages resources and development plans.
• Partners with Operations, IT, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to drive site-wide improvements.
• Establishes standardization and collaboration across plants within the campus.
