Job summary

Corning Inc. in the United States is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead process/controls engineers at the Trivium Cable Plant.

You will balance daily operations with cost reduction and continuous improvement in safety, capability, and quality while guiding a team to meet production targets. The role reports to the Engineering department; you will mentor staff, allocate projects, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or Materials Science.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of people management experience in manufacturing or in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Owns meeting production targets for assigned lines, focusing on process capability and robust solutions.
• Manages project lists to improve lines/area with cross-functional groups daily.
• Provides direction and mentorship to process/controls engineers and technicians.
• Assigns objectives and guides project priority, scope, and resources.
• Conducts periodic performance reviews with employees and develops growth plans.
• Ensures safe work practices and proactively reports unsafe conditions.
