Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a seasoned Engineering Leader for the Trivium campus to guide assigned engineering teams toward safety, quality, and growth targets. You will coordinate with section supervisors to ensure a consistent engineering approach across buildings on campus.

Responsibilities include optimizing processes, managing portfolios to improve yield and cost, and partnering with plant leadership to drive manufacturing excellence while mentoring staff and safeguarding IP.

Qualifications

• - Bachelor of Science in Engineering disciplines or Materials Science.
• - 6+ years supervisory experience in Operations or Engineering.
• - 6+ years experience with MBOs and manufacturing metrics including cost accounting.
• - 3+ years in project management or leadership roles.
• - In-depth knowledge of Six Sigma and Performance Excellence.
• - Training certification and safety/environmental stewardship experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports Operations in meeting production targets and improves process capability.
• Creates portfolios to improve yield and cost in assigned areas.
• Coordinates with department heads for standardization across plants.
• Ensures alignment with plant objectives and program priorities.
• Acts as champion for process/equipment changes and trials.
• Leads Supervisors, Technicians, and Engineers with clear expectations.
• Collaborates with Operations, IT, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive Trivium goals.
• Manages talent development and IP protection within the dept.
