Job summary

The Timberline Group is seeking a Head of Engineering for our eLearning platform. You will own broad scope across all eLearning applications, drive project execution across multiple teams, and partner with executive, product, and UX stakeholders to advance the learning journey.

Lead the technical direction of the eLearning stack, improve delivery predictability, and build a culture of ownership, testing, and measurement while mentoring engineers and attracting top talent.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of software development experience with increasing responsibility.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams of engineers (10+ people).
• 3+ years building high-volume, high-performance B2B/B2C websites.
• Prior experience as a senior engineer or architect.
• Expertise in at least one: SOA, .NET, AWS infra and services.

Responsibilities

• Own project execution across multiple engineering teams and drive process improvements.
• Guide technical direction for the eLearning stack and influence major technical decisions.
• Collaborate with executives, product management, and UX to groom a complex backlog.
• Improve development processes to optimize delivery and predictability.
• Foster an engineering culture of ownership, accountability, testing, and measurement.
• Mentor and retain top engineering talent.
