Job summary

The Timberline Group is seeking a Lead IT Software Developer to join a mature team handling front-end (Aurelia, Angular) and back-end (C#/.NET, SQL Server) technologies. The role partners with the architecture team to ensure technology choices fit the overall architecture and established guidelines.

The lead will mentor engineers, participate in prototyping, and drive high-quality design and implementation across multi-tier systems within an Agile/CI-CD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 8 years of software development.
• 2+ years in a Sr. Software Engineering role.
• 6+ years of programming in C#/.NET.
• Experience with a complex n-tier application environment (websites, web services, databases, SOA).
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and SQL Server.
• Experience with Entity Framework, Web API and RESTful services.
• Experience working with SPA applications.
• Experience developing high-quality software with unit and integration testing in an Agile/CI-CD environment.
• Strong OO design principles and design patterns.
• Mentoring other technical staff.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the use of technology across front-end and back-end within the team and ensure alignment with architecture.
• Lead prototyping or proof-of-concept activities and guide adoption of technologies.
• Mentor and guide other team members on technology adoption and best practices.
• Collaborate with the architecture team and other senior developers to ensure proper architecture and standards.
• Engage in design, development and troubleshooting; produce high-quality implementation.
• Collaborate with leaders and End-Clients to establish cross-team standards and guide technology decisions.
• Research and evaluate new technologies within the organization.
