Job summary

The American Heart Association in Miami is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead donor relations and major fundraising campaigns. In a hybrid, full-time role, you will guide a small team, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive revenue growth across events such as Go Red for Women, Heart Ball, and Heart Walk.

You will build partnerships with medical and corporate leaders, manage our CRM and data systems, and expand the Miami market strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field or experience.
• Minimum several years in nonprofit development or fundraising.
• Experience managing staff and fundraising campaigns.
• Experience engaging senior leaders and potential donors.
• Willingness to travel and build strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement donor-relations strategies to deepen engagement.
• Lead and develop a small team toward bold fundraising goals.
• Oversee campaigns and revenue targets across major events.
• Grow Miami market for Go Red for Women, Heart Ball, Heart Walk.
• Manage volunteer partners and CRM data to advance fundraising.
