Job summary

The American Heart Association in Dallas, TX is seeking a Vice President, Development to lead and expand revenue-generating campaigns. You will oversee a team of fundraising leaders, steward major donor relationships, and collaborate across Heart Challenge, Go Red for Women, and Cotes du Coeur campaigns.

This role is office-based in Irving with a strong emphasis on leadership and growth. The position requires at least 6 years in fundraising or sales, plus substantial management experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in fundraising or outside sales; six- to seven-figure gifts.
• 6+ years of management experience.
• Proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals.
• Willingness to travel locally ~75%.

Responsibilities

• Steward key donor relationships and strategize to deepen impact.
• Prospect mid- to large-size companies, manage onboarding and top-30 prospect lists; deliver service to corporate partners.
• Position market for growth in unrestricted revenue; build a dynamic development staff and volunteer leadership.
• Demonstrate a Drive for Results mindset; motivate others.
• Lead three direct reports: Associate VPs for Heart Challenge, Go Red for Women, and Cotes du Coeur/Collin County.
• Collaborate across campaigns; keep donor interests first.
• Drive growth in revenue and leadership engagement with development staff.
• Provide leadership on transformational goals and accountability.
