Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains, Inc. is seeking a strategic Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising, major gifts, grants, and donor relations in a mission-driven nonprofit.

You will partner with the CEO and board, build a high-performing development team, and engage with diverse stakeholders across our region to secure resources for youth programs and capital initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven success in fundraising, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing.
• Stellar communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a high-performing team.
• A passion for our mission and a willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Guide the Resource Development team and set a vision for future fundraising initiatives.
• Fundraising: Drive strategies for major gifts, annual campaigns, planned giving, corporate partnerships.
• Grant Management: Identify and pursue grant opportunities while ensuring reporting compliance.
• Administration: Report progress to the CEO and Board; manage donor records; coordinate with Finance.
• Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of development and grant professionals.
