Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead strategic fundraising, donor engagement, and development initiatives across our region. You will guide a talented team of development and grant professionals, drive major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing, and collaborate with the CEO and Board to advance our mission while strengthening relationships with supporters, partners, and foundations.

Occasional travel and community involvement are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proven success in fundraising, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing.
Stellar communication and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a high-performing team.
Willingness to travel and engage with communities frequently.

Responsibilities

Leadership: Guide the Resource Development team and act as a visionary for future fundraising initiatives.
Fundraising: Drive strategies for major gifts, planned giving, corporate partnerships, and annual campaigns.
Grant Management: Identify and pursue grant opportunities while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Administration: Report progress to the CEO and Board, manage donor records, and ensure reconciliation with the Finance Department.
Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of development and grant professionals.
