Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead our development and fundraising strategy. You will partner with the CEO, the board, and advisory councils to secure resources and advance our mission for at-risk youth.

The role guides a dynamic team in fundraising, donor relations, and grant management, while building partnerships with corporations, foundations, and major donors. Travel to engage communities will be frequent.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proven success in fundraising including major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing.
Stellar communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a high-performing team.
Willingness to travel to engage with communities frequently.

Responsibilities

Leadership: Guide the Resource Development team and set strategic fundraising direction.
Fundraising: Drive major gifts, annual campaigns, planned giving, corporate partnerships.
Grant Management: Identify and pursue grant opportunities and ensure compliance.
Administration: Report progress to the CEO and Board and manage donor records.
Team Management: Lead and inspire development and grant professionals.
