Job summary

Slalom Build is seeking a Director of Data Systems & Platforms to drive market-facing leadership within the Data & AI practice and to grow the business by shaping offerings and delivering client-focused solutions.

You will partner with market, account, capability, alliance, and delivery leaders to translate business needs into differentiated data platform solutions and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering, architecture, and analytics engineering with consulting or client-facing background.
• Proven ability to shape solutions and engage in sales motions including proposals and negotiations.
• Track record of developing or scaling data offerings that drive client impact and growth.
• Experience leading multi-workstream data platform initiatives across cloud ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of modern cloud and data ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) and governance patterns.
• Ability to collaborate with alliance partners and cross-functional delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide market-facing leadership for Data Systems & Platforms offerings and drive demand in priority accounts.
• Lead discovery, solution shaping, estimation, proposals, and executive presentations for complex pursuits.
• Develop repeatable offerings, accelerators, and approaches aligned with client needs and Slalom strategy.
• Create compelling value propositions, business cases, and roadmaps linking data investments to outcomes.
• Partner with sales leaders to identify expansion opportunities and strengthen the pipeline.
• Ensure proposed solutions have clear value, feasibility, and ROI; manage risks and escalations.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders regarding platform choices and transformation paths.
• Mentor practitioners, connect delivery, sales, alliances, and capability communities.
