As a Data Architect at Slalom, you will work on collaboration-heavy teams to design scalable data solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP, while guiding engineering delivery and shaping the next generation of data platforms

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineer with production data solutions experience.
• Experience in data architecture and guiding decisions from design to implementation.
• Experience with modern cloud data ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements for clients.
• Willingness to start in engineering and grow into deeper architectural ownership.
• Exposure to AI-accelerated data engineering approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve data architectures for client environments and scalable future-state solutions.
• Contribute to building, coding, and deploying data pipelines and platforms.
• Balance architectural ownership with hands-on delivery and guidance.
• Collaborate with clients to capture requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Lead design discussions and support pre-sales or proposals where applicable.
• Build solutions on cloud data platforms using warehousing and processing tech.
• Focus on data engineering and data architecture outcomes, with limited BI work.
• Explore AI-enabled data engineering to improve speed and quality.
