Job summary

Slalom seeks a Data Architect to design and deliver scalable, cloud-native data platforms and AI-ready data foundations. You will guide architecture choices, collaborate with client stakeholders and Slalom teams, and ensure delivery excellence across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake.

You will mentor engineers, lead architectural design from discovery to production, and contribute to pre-sales activities while advancing data governance and security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a desire to expand across the broader cloud ecosystem.
• Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Mentoring others and promoting continuous learning and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve cloud-native data architectures including data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses, and real-time platforms.
• Translate business objectives into scalable, secure data solutions.
• Lead architecture and technical design from discovery through implementation.
• Partner with engineering to deliver data platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Design AI-ready data foundations that support analytics and AI workloads.
• Apply AI-enabled engineering practices to improve quality and delivery outcomes.
• Facilitate architecture workshops and stakeholder alignment.
• Mentor engineers and architects to grow technical capabilities.
