Job summary

Slate is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity to own security across the company, setting strategy, roadmaps, and standards that protect people, data, and manufacturing operations. You will build teams, partner across IT, software, legal, finance, and external parties, and drive security as a growth enabler.

You will lead multi-domain programs including ISO 21434, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, and privacy regulations, while standing up an incident response function and coordinated vulnerability disclosure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security or cybersecurity, with leadership experience.
• Hands-on leadership for compliance against frameworks (SOX, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, etc.).
• Direct experience securing manufacturing/OT environments or related domains.
• Cloud security, IAM, app security, and security operations expertise.

Responsibilities

• Define cybersecurity strategy, multi-year roadmap, and governance.
• Lead compliance readiness across SOX, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and data privacy laws.
• Recruit and develop security teams and foster security-aware culture.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineering, IT, legal, and external partners to secure products and data.
• Embed security into SDLC across web/mobile/B2B apps and cloud platforms.
