Job summary

Nscale is seeking a US-based Director, Legal (Cybersecurity) to lead cybersecurity counsel as the company scales its AI infrastructure and goes public. You will partner closely with the CISO, Security, and executive team to align legal strategy with security objectives across the business.

You will own incident response governance, SEC disclosure obligations, vendor and customer contracts, and cross-border compliance while advising on risk and regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as in-house cybersecurity or security counsel.
• Experience handling security incidents and regulator engagement.
• Familiarity with SEC cybersecurity disclosure rules.
• Understanding of international regimes like NIS2, DORA, GDPR security obligations.

Responsibilities

• Advise Security on programs, controls, and risk decisions as CISO counsel.
• Lead external counsel and coordinate investigations.
• Oversee cybersecurity compliance program across US and international regions.
• Guide security terms in customer and supplier contracts and addenda.
• Advise on vulnerability disclosure, threat intel, and security training.
• Provide board and executive reporting on cyber risk and governance.
