Slate is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity in the United States to set and own the company-wide security program. You will shape the strategy, risk-based priorities, and governance, collaborating across IT, software, manufacturing, legal, and finance to protect people, data, and the vehicle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security or cybersecurity, with at least 5 years leading security teams or programs.
• Hands-on leadership of compliance efforts against frameworks like SOX ITGC, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, or NIST 800-171.
• Experience securing manufacturing, industrial, or OT environments or strong knowledge of IEC 62443.
• Cloud security, IAM, application security, and security operations fundamentals.

Responsabilités

• Define Slate's cybersecurity strategy, multi-year roadmap, and risk-based priorities.
• Own the security policy framework, risk register, and governance model; report to CTO, executive team, and board.
• Recruit, lead, and develop a security team and build a culture of secure by design and proactive risk management.
• Partner with vehicle engineering and manufacturing to align cybersecurity with ISO/SAE 21434, UN R155/R156, and product security standards.
• Embed security into SDLC and cloud posture across AWS, Azure, and edge platforms; drive threat modeling and secure code practices.
• Secure ERP, WMS, procurement, warranty, and other business platforms; enforce segregation of duties and access reviews for SOX compliance.
• Oversee OT security aligned to IEC 62443; manage vendor security risk and third-party programs.
• Work with data, legal, and compliance on data classification, privacy controls, and responsible AI/LLM usage.
