Job summary

Nscale is seeking a U.S.-based Director, Legal (Cybersecurity) to serve as the lead cybersecurity counsel as we scale into a global AI infrastructure company. Reporting to the GC and SVP, Commercial Partnerships, you will partner with the CISO and Security org, shaping incident response, cyber disclosure, and security-by-design across our cloud and data center footprint.

You will guide regulatory compliance, engage with regulators, and manage executive reporting on cyber risk and governance

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading legal response to security incidents and investigations.
• Knowledge of SEC cybersecurity disclosure requirements and public company governance.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal/state cyber and data security laws and international regimes.
• Trusted partner to CISOs and security engineers, translating risk into business decisions.
• Independent legal voice embedded with Security; can operate under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity legal leadership and governance across the org.
• Lead and coordinate with external counsel in security matters.
• Oversee regulatory compliance for security frameworks and disclosures.
• Partner with commercial/legal teams on security terms in contracts and SLAs.
• Collaborate with privacy, AI, and data protection teams on risk & policy.
