Job summary

Nevell Group (NGi) is seeking a seasoned Director of Safety to lead our comprehensive safety program across multiple projects and locations. You will direct the Safety Department, establish strategy, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving risk management and a strong safety culture.

Reporting to the Risk Manager, you will partner with Operations, Project Management, Field Supervision, and Executive Leadership to oversee training, inspections, incident responses, and safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field; OSHA 30 and 500 certifications required.
• Experience directing a safety department across multiple projects/buildings.
• Strong knowledge of Federal OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and DIR regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Safety Department; set company-wide safety goals and protocols.
• Develop and manage Safety Training; ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT regulatory compliance.
• Oversee field safety across projects; approve JHAs and site safety plans.
• Coordinate incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, metrics, and program-wide certifications.
