Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Safety to lead the internal safety program across Southern U.S. commercial construction projects. You will partner with executives, project teams, and field personnel to standardize safety practices and drive continuous improvement.

This role requires 10+ years in construction safety leadership, thought leadership with subcontractors and GC relationships, and the ability to build a scalable safety organization. Travel ~50% and CSP preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety leadership experience.
• Experience with a specialty contractor organization.
• Safety leadership for large-scale commercial projects ($10M+).
• Experience supporting projects with 75-200+ onsite personnel.
• Strong subcontractor/GC relationships understanding.
• Proven ability to influence field operations and leadership.
• CSP certification preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the Southern U.S.
• Experience developing and implementing company-wide safety programs.
• CHST, ASP, SSHO, SMP certifications.
• Data center or mission-critical construction experience.
• Experience building and scaling a safety department.
• Multi-state construction safety oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and formalize the internal safety program.
• Partner with executive leadership, project teams, and field personnel to implement safety standards.
• Conduct site visits and coach operations teams.
• Evaluate safety performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Develop safety policies, procedures, training, and compliance strategies.
• Reduce reliance on outsourced safety resources.
• Build and mentor a future safety team.
