The Department of Homeless Services (DHS) seeks an Administrative Supervisor of Building Maintenance M-II to function as Director of Design and Construction. You will oversee DHS capital projects and partner with the Design & Construction unit to manage large-scale work in multiple facilities.

Responsibilities include supervising project managers, developing scopes, schedules and budgets, reviewing bid packages, and ensuring on-time completion.

Formación

• Eight years of full-time construction experience in large-scale projects or buildings.
• Supervisory or administrative experience handling multiple properties.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee multiple DHS construction projects and establish timetables for timely completion.
• Supervise unit project managers; assign projects and implement admin procedures.
• Manage capital projects by prioritizing scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Monitor design procurement schedules and ensure fiscal year funding alignment.
• Administer the capital design contract; prepare RFPs and process payments.
• Perform constructability and bid package reviews; attend site visits and meetings.
• Prepare executive briefings and report progress to the Assistant Commissioner.
