Job summary

The Department of General Services, Capital Construction Division, is hiring Project Managers to oversee the design and construction of major DC facilities across Schools, Government Centers, Parks & Recreation and Special Projects portfolios.

Incumbents provide expert construction project management, planning, analysis and guidance for real estate and capital construction delivery, directing projects from inception through completion and ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience directly related to the position; equips the knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, directs and manages design and construction from inception to completion.
• Develops project management work plans and schedules with responsible team members.
• Ensures projects stay within approved budgets and documents deviations.
