Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. This on-site role advances a maintenance career from an operating engineer level.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, manage the CMMS, and assist with on-call responses. The position requires safety compliance and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS work order system daily and address tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable).
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Comply with safety procedures and participate in training programs.
