Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Lead Operating Engineer to manage operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems at an on-site Seattle facility. You will lead a team, supervise maintenance tasks, and ensure safety and reliability while coordinating with Chief Engineer.

The role requires 3–5 years in repair/maintenance fields, trade training, and EPA certification with JLL support to obtain it. On-site presence is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or plan to achieve within first year with JLL assistance.
• Leadership/supervisory experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting, plumbing, HVAC and general maintenance.
• Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests.
• Assist in providing training and supervision to expand Engineering team capabilities.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable).
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Comply with all safety procedures and participate in training programs.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
