Job summary

Urban Renaissance Group in Seattle seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer to direct engineering staff, oversee service contractors, and manage maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will support safety program implementation and site standards while ensuring operations align with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include supervising HVAC/plumbing work, inventory control, vendor coordination, and documentation in Building Engines.

Qualifications

• Experience directly supervising engineering staff and contractors.
• Ability to implement and document site safety plans and procedures.
• Proficiency with Building Engines and BAS/EMS systems.
• Strong knowledge of energy conservation and HVAC operations.
• Willingness to perform after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Strong plumbing skills such as installation, adjustment, and repair of restroom plumbing equipment; troubleshoot building systems.
• Supervise inventories, sourcing, ordering, and vendor price comparisons.
• Oversee maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building structure.
• Assist in safety training, audits, and daily data entry in Building Engines.
• Provide customer service excellence to tenants and staff; mentor junior staff.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety programs, and LOTO procedures.
