Job summary

Leisure World of Maryland is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to lead the Maintenance Department and oversee the operation, maintenance, and long-term preservation of the Association’s assets. The role requires strategic leadership, budget oversight, and collaboration with residents and the Board.

The position is full-time with a 7:30 am–4:30 pm schedule, and after-hours emergencies/on-call rotation are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible building engineering or facilities management experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred; OSHA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily Maintenance Department operations and set priorities.
• Develop staffing plans and oversee staff development.
• Oversee capital projects, preventive maintenance programs, and asset inventories.
