Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead facility operations at our Maryland community. You will supervise maintenance teams, perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical repairs, and oversee safety inspections to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You’ll champion fire and life safety, maintain logs and tools, and support move-ins/outs as well as vehicle upkeep, while training staff on emergency procedures and safe chemical handling.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance teams in a senior living or similar environment.
• Hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily maintenance operations and team assignments
• Perform hands-on repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical work
• Oversee preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Champion fire & life safety procedures and participate in safety committee efforts
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Risk Management and regulatory standards
• Maintain tools, equipment inventory and maintenance logs
• Assist with painting, refurbishing and resident suite preparation
• Support move-ins, move-outs and vehicle maintenance
• Train team members on emergency procedures and safe chemical handling
• Review timekeeping and support payroll accuracy
• Assist with driving community vehicle as needed
