Job summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead a team of engineers and skilled technicians at a commercial property in Philadelphia. The role oversees the engineering program, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance, ensuring high-quality operations and reliable building systems for tenants and clients.
The candidate brings 7+ years of experience in building operations, deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and EMS, plus strong budgeting and vendor
Qualifications
- 7+ years of related work experience in commercial property operations.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.
- Licenses/certifications such as Journeyman/Master Electrician or City Licenses.
Responsibilities
- Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring and training.
- Ensure performance management, coaching, and development via HR processes.
- Coordinate safety program scheduling and 100% site compliance.
- Manage operating and capital budgets; monitor variances and reporting.
- Oversee building systems: fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical.
- Develop and maintain preventive/predictive maintenance plans.
- Liaise with tenants, clients, vendors and property management.
