Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering staff across multiple properties in West Palm Beach. You will oversee mechanical operations, maintenance, energy management, and safety programs in alignment with client expectations and corporate policies.

The role requires 7+ years in commercial facilities, strong leadership, budgeting skills, and familiarity with EMS. A hands-on approach and willingness to coordinate with contractors are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related work experience in a commercial property setting or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED is required; industry licenses may be needed.
• Experience with budgeting, variances, and basic reporting to management.
• Familiarity with Energy Management Systems (EMS) and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring and development.
• Ensure performance management and coaching through HR processes.
• Coordinate annual safety program and achieve site compliance.
• Manage building operating accounts, budgets, and variance reporting.
• Oversee all building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
