Job summary

Goodwin is seeking an experienced operations leader to run the Boston office and drive excellent workplace experience. You will oversee admin support, facilities, security, technology, and related services while partnering with firm leaders to set priorities and deliver efficient operations.

You will lead hiring, coaching, and performance management for local staff, foster cross‑functional collaboration, and champion culture and employee engagement within a dynamic, global law firm environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in office operations, business operations, administration, or related fields.
• Experience leading teams in a complex organizational environment.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including budget management and resource planning.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational leader for the Boston office and maintain accountability for the overall workplace experience.
• Coordinate the effective operation of office functions including admin support, reception, facilities, technology, security, records, and more.
• Partner with local office leadership to identify operational priorities and implement solutions that support business needs.
• Monitor service delivery and workplace standards, addressing issues before they affect colleagues, clients, or visitors.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and staff development for Boston colleagues.
• Collaborate with HR, Facilities, Real Estate, Technology, Security, Finance, Events, Procurement, and other functions.
• Support office culture and community involvement and act as an ambassador for Goodwin's values.
