Job summary

White Lodging's JW Marriott Austin seeks an experienced Banquet leader to oversee all banquet and social catering operations, ensuring world-class event execution and seamless service for large-scale meetings. You will supervise management-level associates, manage budgets, develop menus, coordinate with catering, sales and rooms divisions, and guide teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences daily.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel banquet and catering leadership experience.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Experience with Marriott-brand environments is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and control all Banquet and Social Catering operations.
• Supervise and develop all management-level Banquet associates.
• Schedule and direct all Banquet personnel; conduct 90-day and annual evaluations.
• Coordinate department efforts with Catering, Sales, and Rooms divisions.
• Prepare weekly sales and payroll forecasts; analyze P&L statements.
• Develop new menus for Catering and Sales teams.
• Enforce liquor procedures and compliance with laws.
• Resolve guest complaints related to events.
• Participate in JW Marriott Austin Leadership Team.
• Hire and develop Banquet team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
