Job summary

The LINE Hotels in Austin is seeking an Assistant Banquets Manager to oversee daily events operations, ensure quality service, and manage front-of-house staff for banquet and catering functions.

The role requires strong communication, conflict-resolution, and leadership skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and coordinating closely with the kitchen and events teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year event experience.

Responsibilities

• courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Holds pre-function briefing to determine specifications of each function.
• Ensures proper room set up according to BEO and client requests.
• Coordinates and supervises banquet staff to ensure quality service.
• Maintains open communication with colleagues across departments.
• Interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing and scheduling personnel.
• Ensures safety and OSHA compliance and proper maintenance of spaces.
