Ideal candidates have a master's or PhD in a quantitative field and 6+ years in applied AI/ML with leadership experience, plus strong software engineering instincts and customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS or quantitative field with at least 6 years in applied AI/ML.
• Experience leading a team for at least 1 year and building production-ready AI systems.
• Strong software engineering judgment and ability to deploy AI in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of applied scientists; hire, coach, set direction, develop people.
• Set the technical and scientific bar; shape architectures, review designs, and lead by example.
• Own AI system readiness end-to-end from framing to production monitoring.
• Choose projects that scale across matters and define investment priorities.
• Partner with product, engineering, design, customer-facing teams, and legal experts.
• Communicate technical nuance clearly to leadership and customers; capture customer voice.
