Job summary

Relativity is a data-centered, AI-native legal tech company. The Applied Science team builds bold AI systems inside aiR. We seek a Senior Manager to lead a team expanding the aiR agentic harness for greater capability and reliability.

You’ll own end-to-end AI system readiness, from problem framing to evaluation and production monitoring, ensuring dependable and defensible results across large document corpora. This role requires leadership and deep AI/ML expertise.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in computer science or quantitative discipline.
• At least 6 years in applied AI/ML, including ≥1 year as a people leader.
• Experience building production-ready AI systems and deploying them.
• Fluency with modern generative AI within larger systems.”

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of applied scientists: hire, coach, set direction, and develop people.
• Set the technical and scientific bar; shape architectures, review designs and evaluations.
• Own AI system readiness end-to-end from framing to production monitoring.
• Decide which problems to tackle and how to invest resources across projects.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and customers to scale ideas to production.
• Communicate technical nuance clearly to leadership and customers; voice the customer.
