Ripple is seeking a Senior Director of Security Engineering to build and lead a high-performing team securing Ripple’s products, infrastructure, and corporate IT. You will drive security strategy, embed security across the stack, and ensure AI tooling is secure and auditable.

The role combines hands-on security leadership with strategic oversight, focusing on AI security, guardrails, and secure development practices across engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in security engineering.
• 5+ years in leadership/management roles.
• Hands-on expertise in AI security and guardrails.
• Knowledge of cryptographic principles and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and roadmap for Security Engineering, incl. AI security guardrails.
• Advise senior leadership on security risks and architecture decisions.
• Define AI agent guardrails, scope, blast radius, rollback mechanisms.
• Enforce agentic SDLC, testing gates, and human oversight for AI workflows.
• Lead and develop a high-performing security team.
• Drive security guidelines across engineering organizations.
• Lead security reviews for new products and infra changes.
• Own vulnerability management: pen-testing coordination and remediation.
• Partner with engineering, product, and IT leadership to align security priorities.
